Hey folks, Casa here. Im currently running a logitech MX-518 mouse with 1800 dpi. Im looking to upgrade to a mouse with more dpi. I've seen advertised on Newegg a 2 mice
by Cyborg. One is 4000 dpi and the other is 5600 dpi. Has anyone used these mice, and if so, what is your opinion of them. I dont use a joystick for flying, but will be using keyboard and mouse. Im running the G510 keyboard, but am actually using a Razor gamepad (N52TE) I've been using this keypad as long as I've been gaming, and find it much easier to use than a keyboard.
So if this information can help as to whether a cyborg mouse will work or not, then good.
Please let me know what you think, or any recommendations you may have.
Thank you,
Casa |

The main thing when it comes to a mouse for me is that it has a dpi adjuster on the fly. So i can change scoll speed on the mouse itself. Also, lots of programamble buttons is a big plus. those are the things i look for in a mouse I can't recall my specific dpi's
I use a logitech gx9 right now; before that I used a Microsoft sidewinder. Out of the two I preferred the sidewinder...but if I had to buy a new one right now I'd use the above criteria and see if there were better options out there. |

I use the logitech G700 and am loving it. It has on the fly dpi adjustment, plenty of easy to hit buttons, and works wired or wireless. Also the software it comes with works very well, BF3 wouldn't pick up all 4 buttons on the side of the mouse so I was able to go into the software and replicate keystrokes with the button presses.

I personally really don't like the cyborg mice, they feel cheap and really "plasticy". I also find that just because it has a higher dpi doesn't make you better, it all depends on how you play and your personal preference. I play with 1800 DPI, even though my mouse's DPI can go up much higher, and a really low sensitivity.
My reccomendation would be for the price your paying for a cyborg rat, get a logitech g700 or steelseries Xai. |

I went with the G500 from logitech. I've used logitech more than any other mouse and the MX518 is a good mouse, it still works, but I was looking for the higher DPI. I spoke with several people, in our clan and they pretty much said the same thing about cyborgs. They werent too impressed with them. One guy sent his back and got a G500, and there's alot of guys I know who use it as well. Thanks for your input. I always know where to get good technical support. I know that Feebs is very good with computers.
By the way, I really enjoyed playing on your #2 BF3 server, last night. I will be around.

I bought the R.A.T. 9 and I feel the same as you. Plus you have to have a Phd. to make use of all the functions. I went back to my G7. |

| Casa I have been using the MX518 for a couple of years now and I love it. I actually have a backup MX518 just in case the original ever craps out on me. I have tried several mice over the last 2 years but I always return them to the store because they don't feel as good as the MX518. Maybe you will have better luck transitioning to a new mouse. |
